Heatbed tape · Width 2–500mm · 97 options in stock

Heatbed tape and adhesives — Kapton, transfer tape and build-surface film. The parameters are listed in order of importance: the one at the top decides the most, and no amount of care further down makes up for getting it wrong.

This page lists 97 options: Width 2–500mm (97 options). From ¥1.3.

What each parameter decides

Every parameter below shows the real range available on this page, and what goes wrong if you pick it wrong. Work through them in this order and you will not go far wrong.

How to choose, step by step

  1. Size — 2–500mm (97 options), Thickness and roll length.
  2. Temperature — Kapton (polyimide) is good past 260 C. Ordinary tape is a puddle at 80 C.

This table is a summary: one row per Width, with the other parameters available in that group. For an exact combination, use the selector at the top of the page — it shows the single part number and price.

Reading the part numbers

Part no.Configuration
KAP-10Width 10
KAP-100Width 100
KAP-105Width 105

You can order by part number or by selecting the parameters. The part number is fastest, but it does not always encode every parameter — the selector on this page is the authority.

6 common mistakes

  1. Ordinary tape does not belong on a heatbed. It melts, leaves residue and contaminates the surface for everything printed afterwards.
  2. Thickness changes heat transfer. Too thick and the bed reads one temperature and the surface is another.
  3. The surface has to be clean. Oil or dust and the tape lifts at the corner on the first warm-up.
  4. Do not double-layer to make it thicker. Trapped air between layers becomes a bubble under the print.
  5. Measure before you order. Take the old part off and measure it, or send us a photo with the caliper reading — that beats guessing from a model number every time.
  6. Everything here is in millimetres. Where a size is imperial, convert it: 1" = 25.4 mm, 1/4" = 6.35 mm, 3/32" = 2.38 mm.

When to replace it

You do not replace this until it fails — but "still looks usable" and "still reliable" are two different things. Any one of these and it is time:

  • Tack gone, edges lifting.
  • Leaves residue when removed, or shrinks and distorts once hot.

Fitting and use

Before you use it

  • Check the specification against what the machine actually needs — temperature, width, thickness, diameter. Consumables fail in ways that look like machine faults.
  • Store it properly. Most of these degrade in the open, and a degraded consumable is worse than none because you trust it.

Using it

  • Start with a small test rather than the real job. One test piece tells you more than the datasheet.
  • Keep the working area clean. Contamination is the most common cause of a consumable failing early.

Do not

  • Do not substitute a general-purpose item for a temperature or chemical specific one.
  • Do not judge by appearance. A consumable can look fine and have lost the property you were relying on.

Matching parts

  • Heatbed and PEI sheet
  • Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning

Lead time, custom work and shipping

  • Stock sizes: dispatched in 1–2 working days, subject to stock
  • Custom: non-standard sizes, materials and treatments are possible — send quantity and drawing
  • Shipping: from Shenzhen; domestic courier by default, DHL or dedicated line for export
  • Volume: quantity pricing available, contact us for a quote

If you cannot find the size you need, or you are not sure which one fits, send us the problem you are solving — what machine it goes on, the dimensions of the part you have, what it has to achieve — and we will match it.
